Color Chips: Cherry Tree Leaves, Springs, NY

This past weekend we went out to our family's in Springs, where we hadn't been in a month. All the leaves had gone color and were falling in heaps. The oak leaves were all brown, but the cherry tree leaves landing in the middle of the night and formed a bright carpet on top Sunday morning.

Dark green on the bottom, brown in the middle and bright yellow and reds now on top. We pulled the colors out of the picture, but think our yellow chip should be more yellow. The brown blanket of oak leaves is seen in the pic below the jump.

Ugh... those wild cherries are impossible to contain- they sprout up everywhere! My hedges are now pretty much destroyed by wild cherry trees...
