The colors seem bright, but are fading from so much sun. White is showing up, and the soft pink of a grandmother's dress is festive in the garden. There is a delicateness to these colors. Elsewhere, there are already signs of yellows and browns of fall coming. MGR

What kind of flower is the 8th picture down? It's so pretty.
I think it may be a dahlia...? I have to admit I'm partial to the yellow tomates.
Oh! Are those golden raspberries? I've been looking for them forever. My grandparents grew them -- or something like it -- when I was a kid, and people look at me like, "um, duh, raspberries are RED," when I wax nostalgic about them.
Yes, that's a dahlia. And yes, golden raspberries! It's an heirloom variety that we planted this spring and it's already given us baskets of berries. Last night we made a tart... stay tuned for today's FOOD post for the recipes and photo.
What is the plant in the second picture? Sunflower? And the 5th and 10th one- what are those? Really nice photos.
This reminds me of that new-ish show on HGTV "Get Color" where the hostess shows a palette of different actual THINGS of various colors that go with typical color schemes associated with the style of decorating that the home owners seem to want to go in. A sort of interestingly literal way of approaching color choices.
