Color Chips: First Avenue Market Collection

It was a rainy morning last week coming back from yoga practice. I've seen the market before, but in the rain and without any cars parked in front it stood out.

This palette of three colors is very beautiful, but seems out of place in NYC. The drabness of the gray and white with the blood red reminds us of Eastern Europe or of Bauhaus Germany before the war.

Probably not the original color scheme. My guess is that a lot of the grey surfaces were originally the same color - or just white - as the present white areas .
