Color Chips: Sayulita, Mexico

This one is sent in by Jen, who just came back from a surf vacation in Sayulita, Mexico and couldn't stop taking pictures of the remarkable colors.

What we always notice about colors in really hot climates is the mixture of warm and cool colors, as well as the intensity of hue. Strong sun brings so much warmth, that these darker colors balance the sun's intensity, while the warm/cool mix create a festive mood. Could these color combinations have been a result of early Catholic imagery imported from Europe, or are they native? Big pic below. (Thanks, Jen!)

That's a warm time of the year to be down there. Have the Mango's started dropping yet?

I've been there and love it. the water is clear and beautiful and there isn't all the tourist-trap-crap of Puerto Vallarta.
