Daniel had been talking about this amazing red that he found and used in a client's apartment. We asked him to please share. He obliged by sending us some beautiful pics along with the info.
Introducing Benjamin Moore Red Oxide 2088-10. It is dark, but so warm that it pulls color out of everything around it. Also, check out the fact that he decided to paint the ceiling and the walls. This room was done in semi-gloss. (Thanks, Daniel! - To all Colors & Color Chips)

Very nice! Looks an awful lot like an M. Stewart red I used for my kitchen called "Sugar Maple".
I just looked up some colors on the BM website link and then compared them to my BM paint fan. They couldn't be more different. Imagine finding the perfect color online only to get it home and see it's nothing like what you thought/wanted. The photo above is more accurate in color than the website color.
But the room shown is very nice. I like the red even though I'd probably be too scared to use it in my place. It's beautiful here, though.
wow- that red is sexy...
Nice red. But I LOVE the table!!! Does anyone know anything about it?
Hey Terry...the table is designed by Christain Liagre and can be purchased at Holly Hunt.
Thanks Daniel. Well, it's out of my league, $$$$-wise. But it is gorgeous. What a lovely choice.
I love the color. I thought I had used it before but it turned out it was the rosy apple 2006-30 which is largely a red oxide base with I think one more hue added. I love the ceiling in the same color, it definitely makes the room extra warm and intimate. I would guess that the reflective nature of the semi-gloss and the gloss of the table top must make the room glow, especially in candle light.
Question about the furniture arrangement. Why did you choose to set the table (and ceiling lighting?) on an angle?
Hi Ivy,
The table was brought in by my client and was slightly too large for the dining space. By placing it at an angle, we were able to seat more people comfortably. It also added a dynamic element to the space.
Glad you liked it!
