Doesn't anyone rest their head on armrests anymore? My three-year-old Ikea lindris grey Karlanda sofa and loveseat are nearing the end of their usefulness due to sagging cushions, and I've sufficiently tired of the brick wall drink holder armrests. The only armrests on the sofas in this competition seem to have these brick wall armrests or none at all!
Check out the Caddy sofa under "Cool Seating." For $1169 it's not a bad alternative to the Le Corbusier.
I'm not even sure the klippan meets the requirements - I think it's less than 72"

I would advise against the Klippan...I too was lured by its good looks and great price, however, quickly became disillusioned by discomfort. The seat is too shallow - comfortable for ten minutes, but any more than that, and you will be looking for alternative seating.
I'm looking for a modern and comfortable sofa that converts into a bed--for a studio apt. I am thinking about the Sliding Sofa from Design Within Reach but am wondering if it is really an everyday bed?

Finding a small sofa isn't really that much of a challenge. The real challenge is finding a full size sofa that will fit into a small elevator or through a small doorway or down a narrow stairway without having to be chopped up. Anybody have any suggestions?
