Tiles? No problem. We were tipped off to Declan Kerr and spoke to him on the phone. Our impression? The recommendation is a good one.
Kerr specializes in all the the tile work involved in renovating bathrooms and kitchens. He does floors, counters, backspashes, and fireplace frontings. He can also handle installation of plumbing and electrical fixtures when necessary.
Kerr has worked on both high and low end, from Park Avenue to Trump Tower and with the major tile shops in the city, from Bisazza to Ocean Side. It seems he doesn't reply to email. Is it too much to ask that contractors take 2 minutes to reply back and say "Sorry, I'm very busy right now, but I'll be back in touch on [date] to talk about your project"?
He doesn't return phone calls either. Why is he on the list?
i left declan a voicemail yesterday and he called me back today. he sounded like a very nice person and accomodated my schedule for our first meeting. will follow up.
after the above good first interaction, he cancelled on me once (with an hour's notice) then on the second occassion called me when he was half an hour late and was going to be another answer. needless to say, i didn't hang around. too bad as he seemed smart and nice.
