We just returned from Paris.

For me, it was a first visit to a city I'd wanted to see for many years: first for romance, and now for another kind of love: that of cuisine.

A food writer who has never been to Paris is still a food writer, and I'm sure there are many out there. But a food writer who has experienced Paris, is one flooded with new stimulation, new inspiration. It's where I believe my sixth sense, as a writer, that indescribable aura of ultra-sensitive taste buds, was born.

Its hard to name my favorite culinary things about Paris; the list would be endless. It is impossible to name every moment, every cloud that passed by, and every bite of food and every sip of wine.

Some of these moments are only transferable to mortals the moment they occur. Some are still caught in that sixth sense aura.
