Last week's issue of New York Magazine featured their Home Design Fall package. They looked at a few before and after gut renovations, including this master bathroom in Prospect Heights Brooklyn. We were a little confused by the choice of additions. Architect Elizabeth Roberts opened up the second floor of a late-nineteenth-century brownstone to feature not only a large bathing area, but a home office in the corner. Yup, that on the left is a desk with a printer, meant to let you get some work one in between, um, dips in the large bath tub.

Because I get some of my best thinking done in the shower? Weird. Also, electronics aren't known for being moisture-friendly; it's not very practical.

I'll admit that is just a bit odd (the office desk in the bath area). We have a fireplace, a tub and a desk. Cannot decide if this is a good flexible room or a room with a complex.

would work only if the office chair was a toilet....
ignoring the office corner, it's a stunning space!
