"I also attached two Ikea bookshelves to make a "L" desk for my music recording, and have the wiring organized neatly into the compartment space of the storage unit, including the amplifier.
At night time, I use it as a home theater simply by placing a blank canvas onto the center. Then after the movie, I just slide back the bed that was placed on the opposite side of the room during the day to save room. I'm a 23 years old college student that lives in my family's living room, which is only about 8x8 feet. The bed fits 1.5 persons, so when my girlfriend comes over, we cuddle comfortably. This was created out of the frustration that I lacked my "own space" and by placing up simple partition walls I'm able to use the corners effectively. It is also my first furniture project. "

It's very hard to tell what the product is.
This seems more like an Ikea hack than something this person designed. It's a cool custom solution, However, I'm not sure it's appropriate for this competition. That said, AT posted it so I guess we can vote on it.

What redbeard said. Though I have to admit that last picture cracked me up. Such a nice change from some of the other competitors who seemed to take their designs too seriously.

The more I look at it, the more impressed I am. I do wish it was more 'finished'? I wish the cubby flaps turned into a workspace more? but then I realized a surface pulls out for a workspace/bed. Pretty amazing.
Also interesting that you do this in your parents living room! They must be cool parents.

this is truly creative and form absolutely follows function here with amazing results. but i'm not sure that i think it's actually attractive... a bit unfinished looking and the staging left a bit to be desired. why is the red table shoved into the corner? why isn't the desk over the radiator a bit deeper so that you don't have to bend forward? but otherwise brilliant and flexible use of space. nicely done.
