Great contest. Next time, please leave out the pictures of the designers. It's about the design, not the designer. Pictures can't help but brings race, gender, hair color, weight, etc. issues in the decision.

I agree with quiltmaster also, I would hate for the deciding factor to be one is cuter

I don't know, it is fun seeing the designers and finding out a little more about what makes them tick. It was a tough choice, but I made the decision based on which item I would consider owning in my own home...

Although both designs are stunning, the redeploy rug is more innovative in my opinion. I like the organic application of pragmatic materials. This rug something I could not make myself which brings out the consumer in me. I look forward to seeing this design available to the public. Nice work.

I like the table very much but the rug has more "wow" for me. I want to roll about on it after a few Martinis...

Roll-y-poll-y rug I like

The shelves are simple and practical, but in my area dust and spiders would build up in-between the boards...

I love this rug--it is amazing and the designer must be a special person with a great eye and feel for materials. Pierson

I dig the shelves. Sure, it's simple.. it could be made for less, the allthread could have -- something -- I dont know, different.. it's rough but I still like it. There seems to be a ton of thought that went into it's simplicity.
The rug is killer as well, and if i had the choice between the redeploy rug and that other wall mounted shelf submission, the rug, absolutely! But the shelves win my vote here.

What I like best about the Redeploy Rug is its subtle references to military maps (contours), a critique of war (through recycling war blankets), maybe even a reference to Iraq/Afghanistan (woolen traditions; the practice of sitting comfortably on carpets instead of furniture)
