Old friend, Barton Quillen, and his business partner, Giovanni, opened Prague Kolektiv last night in DUMBO, and when we got there we recieved a triple surprise: the place was Packed, the furniture was Stunning and - rumor had it - everything was already Sold to early birds.

Before we review the store, here's a big peak at everything on display. All the furniture and remarkable light fixtures were found, collected and brought back from the Czech Repubic during the past year. MGR

Beautiful furniture... loved the two chairs with tapered legs and upholstered in green (velvet?) and also, the ceramic mugs and pitchers.
I'm sure I could find this if I wandered around DUMBO, but do you have the address?

Kinda kills me that in 1997 or so I was going to Gleason's Gym on Front St. and I couldn't even get an apple down there and now I can go to Prague Kolektiv and get "A crystal decanter with six glasses... $700" (quote from the Times)
