We received a tip that Manhattan Cabinetry was a good source for custom bookshelves as well as custom cabinetry for living rooms, offices, bedrooms and kitchens. We have not used them yet, so we're all ears.
Started in 1976, Manhattan Cabinetry "offers full service custom building of just about any type of furniture." This means that if you want to do something more interesting than melamine laminate in your closet or home office, these folks can build and install it. They also build housings for Murphy Beds as well as radiators.
NYMag says: "Highly Recommended" and "Everyone was friendly and helpful and the prices were reasonable."
I had a custom entertainment system made about 18 months ago. The price was surprisingly competitive, even with a more expensive veneer and finish.
Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay to have two built in bookshelves installed on either side of my fireplace, as well as the price to wrap the fireplace in wood paneling? Any ideas on what good custom cabinetry costs would be greatly appreciated.

Of course my clientel base and refferals they want real "HIGH END" cabinetry........
