The folks at New York Replacement Parts have finally put up their website, but they are just entering the computer age. Which is good for us. New York Replacement Parts is one of the very few shops left in the city that stocks old and prewar fixtures and parts: everything from kitchen to bathroom fixtures, to doorknobs and hardware. They stock parts for "every aspect of the plumbing and heating industry, including obsolete parts dating back from the 1890's."

New York Replacement Parts will also do custom work to replace what you have lost or broken. Extremely useful if you happen to own one of these lovely apartments. Just be prepared to talk quick, as they don't have a lot of time.
