Are you looking to tile a bathroom or kitchen and need someone to do it? Bella Tile is a small shop with a good selection and often helpful service, and they're a fine alternative to the high-end tile shops near Union Square. They have almost anything you could want: 100 different brands of tiles in mosaic, glass, and stone and a good selection of hand painted tiles from Mexico and Spain...
They will help you sift through the many possibilities, but it does help to know what you want first. Bringing in photographs or clippings from magazines is a good idea. Problems? Bella Tile seems to have "off" days when you can't get good help, and their showroom is much smaller than the high end places. Also, some tile can take a LONG TIME to arrive (@ 4-8 weeks) since tile comes from factories that move slowly and you can't just FedEx this type of heavy shipping.

One warning is that they don't even buy back their own tile if you order too much, which I discovered in the first decision of my own renovation (anybody need about 30sf of some basic 4x4 "arctic white")?
