Satin and grosgrain ribbons are one of the best items to have in your cupboard for last minute entertaining and gift "emergencies". A gift wrapped in brown paper (or newspaper) comes alive with the addition of a bold ribbon. They also come to the rescue when a table setting needs color — tie them around the stem of the glass, around the serviettes or even around the back of the chairs.
There are no rules, the only advice is to make sure you always use long generous pieces to give it an opulent feel.
Here we wrapped the tableware in bright colors, the guests loved "unwrapping" their setting. Buy several meters of ribbon in various textures, widths, length and color, it's a wonderful box of tricks to keep in the kitchen for your next dinner party.

mjtrim.com is a personal favorite-- I would call them if you have specific questions about a bulk rate-- Their store in NY is pretty gorgeous.
