We've often posted about branch and tree themed decorations in the home — whether it's a DIY Tree Mural, a tree branch curtain rod or Furnishings Inspired by Trees & Branches. This candelabra, made of nickel-plated aluminum, fits right in...

The sculptural piece would work well as a centerpiece — with or without the 9 mini taper candles it can hold. The Manzanita Silver Candelabra
is $99 from West Elm.

When I saw this in the catalog I thought it was gorgeous and I had to have it!

So off I went to the brand new West Elm store up on MN and it wasn't what I was hoping for. :( The quality is great, don't get me wrong, but the candle holder parts just aren't deep enough to keep me sane. The first thought that came to mind was "house fire". I might still get one and drill the holes a bit deeper, but I'm not sure.

love it - seen it in person and it's gorgeous. a little pricey for a seasonal decoration in these times though, no?

9 candles--it's for chanuka! very clever. yep, too expensive tough. there are enough interesting things I can do with 9 tea lights...

I love it -- and a tree branch isn't actually seasonal -- but I don't do candles. (Soot on ceiling, fire hazard, cats with curious paws...) It's lovely, though.

I really liked this except the part where it seems a little more enormous and unwieldy than necessary. Very natural effect but it looks kind of big. Although I can't really spend on it, it doesn't seem too expensive for its size and statement. I don't know how much candelabras are supposed to cost.

This would be an easy DIY for a fraction of the price.

Does anyone know where I can buy the pillar candles that look like the trunk of a tree? They were everywhere last year and now I can't seem to find them at all.
The only ones I've seen are Pottery Barn's Metallic Bark Candles http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p11613/index.cfm?pkey=ccandles
I'd like them in natural brown though.

I don't think the size of the candlebra is a problem -- note the second photo of the piece on a table next to a chair. I think it's beautiful and worth the $99, which I don't happen to have at the moment. The fire-setting potential does give me pause, though.

Yeah - Nickel-plated cast aluminum is so easy to make at home...

Well, yeah part of it is the size. It's covering a span of 28w"x20d" and 8"h plus candles blazing is maybe 2 feet. You can't put anything right next to it or put it anywhere you might bump into what it's on, knock the whole thing over, or catch fire to your wizard sleeves just lighting the candles to begin with.

I love it and want it. Perfect for a minimalist table. Maybe it will go on sale. West Elm always has great sales.

I would also use it all year round.

Loved it in the catalogue and even more so in person.

It would look great on a sideboard or coffee table although the latter is better suited to a kid and pet free environment, unless of course you have incredibly well mannered children and obedient pets.

I like the look, but having two cats that wander all around in our place I would not dare to use it in my place.

For me, $ 100 is lot for a candlebra, but I'm sure that yoou can style it for almost every season. I can see it also as a Thanksgiving decoration with some orange and/or pumkin themed items or even as a spring decoration with pastel coloured candles and around some small white vases with fresh flowers.
