07.31.thecollection1.jpg Take a shopping trip to France without leaving the net. We recently found The Collection and we're won over by their home decor products. Though the shop is in France, they ship worldwide and have an extensive online store.

Their seemingly disparate collections of lighting, linens, outdoor, and childrens' and wall decor come together via the beautiful design sense they all have in common. From purely decorative to pretty and functional, the designs are brought together to expose Paris shoppers to up-and-coming European designers.

Our absolute favorite: the line of bent finnish ply lamps by Damdesign:

The Collection also has their own line of wallcoverings and giant poppy wall decals (their scale sets them apart from most other wall decals out there).

I think that first flower looks like a 'woman' with another 'person' peeking around the corner at 'her.'

Yuck! Another flash-abusing, artsy fartsy website. When will these slick, over-produced, time-consuming-to-navigate websites finally fall out of fashion?

I'm so with you on that hejiranyc. I got so annoyed trying to navigate the site that I couldn't be bothered. Design over function makes that site electronically rude. Blech!
