Hot or Not? Pixel Fabric from Kvadrat

4-1-pixel-couch-kvadrat.jpg

Currently taking the blogosphere by storm, the pixelated fabric design from Royal College of Art graduate (UK) Cristian Zuzunaga was purchased by Kvadrat. I am obviously a fan, but what do you say?

Maybe on a chair . . . maybe. Or a bedspread. It's a little overwhelming on a couch.

maybe if the couch itself weren't so horrific looking.

I'd like to see the pattern smaller with a little digital camo effect thrown in.

I see enough pixels all day long. I don't need to look at them on my furniture, too.

In my field of work, pixelation is the devil, so this would be the equivalent of a devil-altar in a jesus church. do you hate jesus that much to lurve this abomination? DO YOU?! lol

I'm mixed... I could see pixel pillows, but hat couch is just too much.

i kind of like it, but agree - not on a couch. maybe a daybed/ottoman.

i'd like to know what the whole pixelated image is, or if it's just a random pattern to look "pretty"

I think this is fab--so easy to work with from a decorating point of view because everything would go with it. The arms feel HEAVY but that's more a comment on the piece than the fabric treatment, which feels fresh and somehow retro all at once.

I agree with those who say the couch's design is flawed. What's with the too-small pillows and the bulky arms?
BUT I am very much into the pixel fabric, even on such a large scale piece. I think it'd be really fun to incorporate... but then, my taste leans towards the tongue-in-cheek. :)
I think it'd be great as pillows, too.

That sofa would be perfect in a cool white loft with glossy white epoxy floors, chrome & glass tables, a round white flokati rug and a white leather Eames lounge chair...

...I love it.

It looks cool on the computer screen.... however I don't think it would fancy the home.

I absolutely totally love it, and the couch. Clearly not for a small funky space, though. But it would fit right into my dream loft.
