For those of you familiar with Maira Kalman's books, illustrations and other odd projects, it won't be surprising that she was recently invited by Maharam to design a fabric for them called, "The Story of My Life."
As quirky and cartoonish as Kalman's art, the fabric not only makes Maharam far hipper than it already is, it makes a uniquely awkward pattern to use, but perfect for those who care not for the matchy-matchy set.
Available for $125 a yard at Mossonline.com (and possibly less at Maharam - though we couldn't find it listed yet). (via NYTimes Style and Metropolis)

This is wonderful news. Makes so much sense; I adore Ms Kalman's illustrations. Thanks, rubygoes.
