Little Houses. We've always been fans of Marimekko. Launched this fall, Mkki is Aino-Maija Metsola's pattern inspired by the shore houses along the Porvoo river. The graphic pattern manages to court the line between abstract and representational. While we're especially fond of the green and gray color stories...
the red and purple are attractive, too. We'd like to make the green into curtains. The red Mkki pattern is also found on various
housewares, including laminate trays, mugs, aprons and potholders.

Cute. Reminds me of the favela paintings I saw in Rio de Janeoro's fleamarket.

The bunched up houses depicted in the fabrics...would those be considered "close-knit communities"? HAHAHahahaha...I kill me!
