Twenty2: Fabric and Wallpaper by Husband and Wife

Brooklyn, NY
888.222.3036

2004_7_twenty2.jpgIsn't that always the story? Designers go looking for something, can't find it and decide to do it themselves? Kyra and Robertson Hartnett didn't like the contemporary modern designs they saw and decided to start their own company, Twenty2, hand-screening their original patterns onto fabric and paper (as in for wall paper).

We think the results are beautiful: subtle, elegant and warm, they are just enough to catch your eye, but not too much that they stand out in a crowd and berate you with how special they are. In this way they remind us of Jonathan Adler's first vase colors and patterns, which fit so quietly into so many different kinds of rooms.

Since these are hand-screened prices are high - fabric running @ $120 per yard. They are available at A.M. Collections LTD, 584 Broadway #201 (212.625.2626) (No website found. When will they learn?).

I am in the process of restoring a house in Evanston,Il. Four bedrooms and the diningroom have been papered with hand-screened wallpaper from a by-gone era.My client would like an additional foyer and bedroom wallpapered and ,this should come as no surprise,is dissatisfied with all that is out there. It simply is not in keeping with the look nor feel of the place.Need more info or catalogue of your wares.
