Looking forward to the cure! It'll be second time I do the cure and I hope I'm not going to lose steam midway, as happened last time... Have fun everybody!

Hi all - I'm from UK. I have yet to get the book (hopelessly disorganised) and wonder if I will still be able to join in until I've got this?

Looking forward to getting my home cured and under control.

Anna :-)

Hi, my name's Scott and I'm from Glasgow in the UK. I bought the book during the last Cure but I didn't get around to starting - mainly because I'd only just moved into my new flat - but hopefully I'll do it properly this time!

Hi all, I'm Janette in Hampshire UK, I bought the book last year, did a 'partial cure' which did make some good differences to the house. This time is my first official cure.

Have you already started?
Today I cleaned the basement and weeded out remorselessly. It feels good to let all the clutter go.

I wish you good luck!!!

Well done Monika on the changes you have already made. You are doing so well :)

I am still thinking what I need to focus on for the cure - please don't let me already be behind!!

I have got details for a toy sale soon so am planning to clear out the playroom and make some cash at the same time that I can put back into the house.

I have seen this fabulous chair that is inspiring me and would work in the playroom/study I'm hoping the budget will stretch to during this cure.

Look forward to finding out more about how everyone is getting on.

I tried this in the spring and fell off the wagon, even blogged about it!(http://thishomesweethome.blogspot.com/search/label/spring%20cleaning.) but this time I may just stick it out, oh and I'm from the tiny island of jersey in the English Channel, a big hello to the UK people. :)

Hi to the other UK folks from me too. I'm not sure it fits with de-cluttering my flat exactly, but tonight I picked up a couple of mismatched kitchen chairs to add to the 2 I've got at my 6-seater kitchen table - for free! Whereabouts are you exactly, Anna? There might be a Freecycle.org group in your area. That's how I found my chairs; it's always worth having a trawl through the latest ads to find something someone wants rid of that you might be able to paint and give a new lease of life.

Hi everyone, I'm in the UK too. It's my first time doing the cure and, as usual, I started this thinking I'd do a big project. I've changed my mind now and I've decided on our spare room. It will hopefully work as a guest room and work room for my husband and I. We also need to fit our son's train board in there. It's tiny as well. Wish me luck! Here's the pre-cure pics.

I'm thinking blue, but I'm worried the room won't get enough light. Not sure. Maybe blue with a mirror? Must go do my inspiration hunt first.

Hi fellow cur-ees. I'm a Canadian living in Paris. I'm trying to get a grip on a apartment that lots of character but no closets. I also started the Spring 2009 Cure, but soon fell off the wagon as I was simply too overwhelmed by the move over here. But 6 months later things are smoother and our living room is too dire a need of help to ignore.

It's a lovely bright day over here so I'm planing to take some pics to post online shortly....

Looking forward to hearing your Cure stories!

Hi all

Hope everyone is getting on okay - I am doing okay but getting distracted (as usual).

I am going to blog my progress here - hope okay to share link. There is a category for my Apartment Therapy posts.

Scott - no joy with freecycle on the chair front, but I have a feeling my Mother-in-law has something similar that I may use. Failing that will try my local auction rooms.

Cowgirl in wellies - I think blue would work well in that room - what shade are you going for.

Anna,
Your blog link is not working, I'd love to visit it if you can get it to work.

Has anyone been brave enough to post photos in the Cure flickr group?

I've taken a few shots of the worst clutter build up areas but just looked at the photo stream and mostly they look like after shots.

I have posted some pictures yesterday. They show not so much clutter, but rather more my sparse and blank place. I need some art, textiles and so on.

Not sure why link not working - will post a link to the blog itself. Here you go - there is a section for my AT Cure posts on the right hand side. You will see I have not got very far!!!

I did manage to buy some flowers this week - just a small bunch of freesias for £3 from Tesco. Have split them into 2 bunches one by my bedside table and one on the fireplace. They are making an unexpectedly big difference to the atmosphere.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. This board seems to be quiet?

You're doing better than me if you've got the flowers. I've cleared a surface and I have a small hope of getting the kitchen cleaned out this week as I've seen a spider web in there. Yuck.

I still haven't posted anything on flickr.
However I have got flowers, a pretty full recycling bin after some serious scattered paperwork gathering from the living room and four charity bags ready to go out this Friday. Finally I have let go of the video tapes I just never watch any more, I think that counts as put something out.
The kitchen clean and tidy didn't get all the way round the room, but one length of worktop and associated cupboards is a start. I do have a large kitchen!
Anna, blog link OK now.

Video tapes definitely count! They are such a clutter in our house. I am always trying to find a home for videos and DVDs. This week is good for me as our landing strip is pretty OK and I've had my paint colour up for a week and still love it so now it's back to the kitchen that I didn't finish last week.

And tomorrow the charity bags will go away and I won't pick any video tapes back out tonight!
