What I particuarly appreciate about this home is that though the owner has several classic furniture pieces (Eames chair, Noguchi table), the overall effect doesn't scream DWR catalog. The house is an example of how to integrate this iconic furniture and still retain an individual personality. Nice work! And the dark (black?) walls are really neat.

I love the wall color and the bed - it's wonderful. But, I desperately want to photoshop the lime throw pillows of it.

The wall color...I absolutely LOVE. What would you call this color (generally speaking, not necessarily the name of the paint color)?

I love the photo/painting above the bed. Can you tell us who it is by?

I just ended up on the NYC site and see that there's a whole different set of comments here.
Thank you to everyone who's commented on my rooms. The best thing about this contest is that I've gotten so many great ideas about new things to try in my place that I'd never thought of before and different perspectives. It's hard to think objectively about a space that you occupy all the time.
Ruby -- The color generally speaking is a very dark turquoise blue/green. I picked it because it matches the color of lake michigan right before dark.
courtnyleigh -- That's a photograph that I took in of the sky and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. So, I guess the artist is me :). I'm so happy that you like it.
