#40 - Brian and Sarah's Color in Every Room

Why I use color:

We like to have a fun and comfortable home. The best way to do that is with color. Wall color is always one of the last things I choose when designing a room even though it is the most important.

2 Good color tips:

1. Find something you love where it is a pillow, artwork, or a rug. Design the rest of the room around it.

2. When picking a wall paint get lots of samples in a variety of different shades. Take your time do not decide the same day. Come back later in a couple days and see if you still like the same color. Remember you can always repaint!

I believe with better photography, your house could capture the color coordination i a much better way. Maxwell and his friends always try to tell us how important to have a good shot and give instructions to apply.

I really like the first shot and how you incorporated all those beautiful colors in your living room.

I got the lamps at lowes and I made the license plate map that is behind the couch. I got the idea for uncommon goods but made it for a lot less.

I LOVE your color, especially the duck-egg walls and vermillion bookshelves in the living room.

I voted you as "in the running" because I love your color.

But . . . I detest your furniture- that brown floppy couch and late 80s PoMo dining room furniture, chandelier make me queasy.

But the color is gorgeous.

poltrona - It is called the Avian and is made by Harbor Breeze and you can get it at Lowes (I have the same one in my bedroom and love it. It is so quiet and very powerful). Here is the link:
