that's in NYC? is it in an attic in a brownstone? i live in NYC and have never seen an apartment like that here before. it's beautiful!

Yes! What is the setup? Is it a carriage house? It's lovely and peaceful and maybe my favorite so far. I've also never thought about matching the couch with the walls in a small space but good advice!

our apartment is the 2nd floor and the attic is the 3rd floor of a town house.
The turquoise paintings (there are 2) are actually wall speakers. All the others, are painted by my boyfriend or myself.

I love the attic - The colors work really well with the warm wood and it looks super cozy.

Like the 2nd floor (first 7 photos). It's so tasteful. We don't get enough of that at AT. Not sure I like the last three photos. They've got a different vibe.

beautiful place, especially the attic. I'm curious about your location also...I live in brownstone brooklyn, and there aren't any attics like that there... it's pretty rare to see a peaked roof like that in the city.

Wow. Just wow. This is my favorite place yet. That turqiouse painting is amazing. And how I have always wanted one of those mirrors... And the carpet! Bah, i love everything.

1. what is that thing above the couch? it looks like a bed spring. very cool. i don't know how you dust it, but very cool.

This is by far my favorite place. I love how you integrated the many artworks into the various room without over doing it. Very inspiring.

I get a good relaxing feel here. I have a lot of color posts to catch up on, but the relaxing ones feel more like homes to me. Plenty of good uses of color, but a real restraint, light, dark, bright, muted. It's not screaming for attention, it's just bright and straightforward and lovely.

Very walm and welcoming. I really like the red-orange pillows on the grey couch.

Erm... I meant "warm". Because "walm" doesn't mean anything.

Love the colors, the contrast and the calm feeling of the apartment.. It looks like a great place for relaxing and entertaining.

just lovely... this apartment feels sophisticated, but oh-so organic, warm & inviting, very well thought out! the attic feels like an oasis, perfect setting for inspiring pillow talks. Its my favorite.

PS. if you don't already do interior design, you should really consider this as a profession!!

Love the use of color in the artwork and fabrics. Even though the walls aren't so bright, the apartment appears to be so lively and bright. Nice rug too!

I love this apartment, specially the mix of color with the grey and the orange, love it, the wall paper too, with the mirrored framed mirror by the white door. The Atic is so beautiful and inviting, I really like those chairs with the round back and the other pair on the other side. The paintings are amazing, the one in the bedroom with the flowers is so good ! The blue palete the y chose in the bedroom is perfect. This is definetly my favorite apartment !!!
