What inspired you to use color? Color is a great challenge for me: Being able to pull it off in an elegant yet lively and happy way. While white, minimalist interiors do catch my attention, I think that a real home with things going on is much more appealing! Each room in my house has a different purpose so I wanted each color to reflect and help that purpose...

Color Tip: Vibrant colors need subtle whites and neutrals to pop out!

Colors Used: I used Dulux paint. The hallway is an Easter Morning, the living room is Linen something, the master bedroom is kentucky blue, the studio is Russian velvet.IIRC.

Fall Colors Introduction -------------------------------

Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...

1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide

The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.

2. Voting Phase - you vote till you drop

Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.

Wow! Bella bella bella! I am in love with this apartment! It's fresh, clean, but also looks lived in and comfortable. Modern with a soul!

Good !!!
I think that the hallway and the guestroom could be lighter.
In the guestroom, the curtains are enough to give life for the ambient. The guestroom walls could be neutral.

This is absolutely my favorite entry.

A winner for sure (but in my opinion a 1st Prize would be even better!) .

Love the perfect balance of colors with neutrals. And also the balance of elegant/minimalist style with a lively one...good job, Sol!

I love the perfect balance of "strong, happy" colors (such as green, lime, purple, red) with neutral ones (white, ivory, cream color, etc.).

I adore your chandelier and that unique light!
