I assumed once we got to the final four we could rank them in the #1,2,3 & 4 spots. Why are we still doing face-offs? Just a suggestion, but the technology to set that up is not that complicated and might be considered for next year. Once again, two of my favorites are up against each other. The other two are not my favorites, yet one will go to the finals. It's the same situation that has happened throughout this competition. Why not take some of that sponsor money and spend it on decent technology for this site? (I know, snarky comment, I'm just frustrated.)

I really can't believe these are the final 4....Maybe it's time to face the facts that this website is not for me! I never agree with the finalists in these things...

Only one finalist really stands out. What happened to all the other great entries?

I'd rather not see the actual people in their entries. Try as I might, I can't get over that poseur on his bike, and I like the house a great deal. Pets good, babies if you must, but no people.

I can't believe these are the finalists. What a poorly designed contest. This is pure testament against Apartment Therapy insisting on dividing things up by cities. I don't think any of these entrants really ran away with any of their matchups. I really like Jesse, but people seem to vote against him "just because"? Am I right? A lot of great contestants were eliminated by mere single digits of people. These are coin toss winners, not fabulous examples. I still like Jesse, but I would have liked to see how it panned out against 3 stronger concepts, including a few people who weren't even the original 16 for their region. This regional bracket thing fouled things up as much as the head-to-head contests.

AndreaU, I'm convinced that the entries that advanced through this contest were ones with lots of friend/family email support; I believe that the actual connoisseurs of this site were outnumbered. That being said, these 4 are all great contenders, in my opinion, with very different displays of color & design. Not all my cup of tea, but I can appreciate them.

It´s a bit sad that only one can win... Dave and Melanie´s place is my favourite.

I agree, I want to drop kick that kid off his bike. I don't like it when they have to get in on the action. Also, I agree that some of the face-offs were unfair (i.e. one face off I would like both, another, I would hate both).

SQ - I agree with you and can totally appreciate these entries, I just felt that there were many stronger ones (IMO)

Kav 122...seriously? haha

Open any design magazine and the first page of their article is a picture of them in relation to there space...in my example its my front yard. I know this isn't a magazine but I was trying to set up a story.

...I really don't see the point in posting a comment like that other than the satisfaction you get in constantly coming back to this page to chuckle at your own remark.

I will admit though it is kind of funny...especially the drop kick part.
