Hello AT,
My husband and I renovating our bathroom in our prewar apartment.
We love the style and the functionality of the Waterworks Easton Exposed Shower, but it is $4800.
Does anyone know where I can find something similar, but less expensive?
Thanks! Michelle

if you find something similar, check with faucetdepot.com to see if they carry it. I've had good luck with them, but they're site is hard to navigate so it's easier to find something if you know make/model.

Try online at:

Bandini and also Hansgrohe (as Julianna suggested) make some very similar ones in the $2000 range. Good luck!

Highly reccomend Hansgrohe "Raindance" showerheads. By far the best investment I've made in my condo!
For the exposed supply lines (and lots of other cool plumbing stuff) check out clawfootsupply.com.

Ok, you can take away my modernist credentials, but paying $2000-$4000 for a showerhead? Are you kidding?
All it would take to copy those is a nicely-bent piece of shiny pipe, a showerhead, and the miscellaneous hardware (eg handles, mounting brackets, etc), for maybe 1/10th the price (maybe more, if you buy a fancy showerhead). The prices in the clawfootsupply link are far more reasonable.

dear anon...
you seem to forget that these fixtures are imported from Europe. The dollar is weak right now and the Euro is strong so that's part of the reason they cost so much... the other part is that in Europe labor costs are much higher than here since all people get health benefits as well as pensions something not all of us have here...
sure, you can find cheaper "knockoffs" around or make one yourself if you have the skills.
BTW, being a modernist has nothing to do with how much you pay for something so, we wont be taking your credentials away... just yet.

Yah, I also think it's insane paying more than a couple hundred dollars for something like that... it's not justified.
Unless you've got more money than you know what to do with, you should shop around... here is a good place to start:

You should be able to find something to fit your needs/tastes for about $200-400.
Cheers.

Kohler is cheap and you can probably find something similar on their website.
I'd also try the websites of Newport Brass and Rohl Country Bath- they're also a lot less expensive than Waterworks...

and also- Waterworks items are NOT from Europe.

yep, Waterworks stuff isn't made in Europe but many of the brands in the other links are and you will pay accordingly for them.

thank you for all your feedback, I hope it doesn't come down to my husband bending a "shiny pipe." Thanks again.

You can try to find similar brands like these:
http://www.cifial.pt/ (3 models in the catalog)
http://www.torneirasofa.com/ (8 models in the catalog)
http://www.oliveirairmao.com/ (2 models in the catalog)
Their cheapest models are between 250 and 400â¬, they are a bit far away from you but there should be something there like these.
