ScanWood Knife Magnets

These are a lovely contradiction. Magnets sunk into beautifully finished wood, we found these knife magnets at OK in Los Angeles a few months ago and then saw ScanWood picking up more press over at AT:Chicago a few weeks back. BTW, they are incredibly strong...

As we think more about the "natural design" and elements that are both practical and refreshing in their design, these make the list. But then almost everything by ScanWood makes the list. A Danish company, ScanWood has been in business since 1919 and makes "functional wooden tools with a nice and modern design." We welcome them to the States!

I don't know if it's my own internal Feng Shui or too many slasher flicks in my teens, but I hate seeing sharp knives hanging on a wall. It creeps me right out.
