You can see she's asserting herself in her first place of her own. Keedote has taken this small studio and made it into a place that exudes her fun character. A fur-stole-wearing desk chair, her "Grimace" sofa, a kitchen-turned-walk-in-closet. Her place has taken on a lively and quirky personality that can only come through care and thought on the part of the inhabitant.

I agree with Marianne. Love those bar stools, and the use of the straw mat to define a headboard. I'm inspired to try something similar in my own bedroom, with, perhaps more structure around the bounds of the mat.
I really do love this. It's not magazine-perfect, but it is very warm, uses the space well, and reflective of the inhabitant's personality. Reminds me a little of my first solo apartment. Lucky girl.
Fun personality, I like it.
RE your balcony decorating plan--National Wholesale Liquidators on Broadway, at Bleecker or so, carries rolls of astro-turf in its basement home section. $20!
$20? woo hoo!
Thanks, Ed.
Arrrhhh Keedote,
Luv what you've done. Livable, quirky and cozy. Best captions ever. The trash can is huge! Covering that Bertoia chair, hmmm, what if you just used the fur alone? You can get chicken wire for about 59 cents a square foot, try Home Depot. Also check out the ceiling fans there, it's a good time to buy one cheap. Metal barstools, great steal. Headboard, nice. View, $2 million plus. The art, got more? Get a flat panel LCD TV, they're cheap now and you'll luv it with your DVR, and it's great for small spaces.
Arrrhhh!
Well done!
I love the tv cart.
Hope that isn't real fur? That's cruel, and so passe! Fur is dead.
