We've seen very few home offices with this much style. The shelving system, Aeron chairs, and great natural daylight all make this an awesome-looking place for getting down to business at home. Check out Nerdalie's other photos at her apartmenttherapynewyork slideshow.

Ummm, since this is a Small/Cool entry and voting is still open, do the extra pix give unfair advantage? I only ask because it seems like almost every entry has a comment asking for more pix but the rules were that the first pass would only allow 3. Of course, because the corporate weasels disallow my access to flickr, I haven't seen the extra pix and they may very well be of something other than the apartment in the contest. I'm just sayin...

OED--I'll second that.
Very cool space, though!

turns out there's only one extra photo and it doesn't show anything new. nonetheless, i think the contestant should have refrained from posting & tagging them and AT shouldn't have posted this separately until after the contest. of course, with so much going on i totally understand how such things can fall thru the cracks :) loving the contest and keep up the good work AT gang!

I find it strange that the AT staff would make any comments (positive or not) on a space that is currently being voted on.

Wow - very disappointing to see this posted during the competition.
I don't really mind that the contestant had posted on flickr as many ATers post their progress on that site. It's part of the community. And the AT staff can, of course, run their competition any way they want - including stacking the deck in favor of one contestant over another. But I am disappointed none the less with AT for posting this.

This isn't part of the Smallest Coolest contest--it's a Flickr Find.

Melissa,
You are correct - partially...it is a link to a flickr find, but the flickrer is also someone who's entered their apartment in the contest. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/small-cool-2007-entries/26-natalie-ryans-clean-warm-harmony-021798

Yes, this was a very bad slipup.
Nerdalie (Natalie) also used her Flickr name in her contest entry and this is one of the same photos used in her entry so I'm sure she is as surprised as us that this mistake was made.

I'm with you, Cat.
MelissaDC: Doesn't matter. Regina, and all the AT posters, should at least take a glance at the contest entries. I'd make that a requirement of the job to have a passing familiarity with all the recent posts posted on the very site one works for.

Dear concerned folks,
Indeed a slipup of sorts as Regina posted this flickr find and I posted the contest entry a few days ago. But not to worry about the voting, as I don't think this is really going to change anything except reinforce the opinion of those who saw both.
That said, we'll be a bit more careful of our cooking from now on. Aaron's on vacation and we're both working overtime....

Thanks Maxwell. I don't think it affects the voting at all, like you said. (I was just surprised Regina didn't see the entries.) I know, there's A LOT going on on the site. And you guys are doing great.
By the way, maybe next time you can have one contest at a time? So everyone can focus on that, and there'll be more even voting.... The the AT site hosting the contest can be highlighted by all the other AT sites, and the contests can shift around and it won't all be as distracted. (In addition, I'm one of the ones who've wanted the site to be devoted to the Cure without overlapping with the contest - guess I'm also having trouble keeping up with all the eight different nine-course meals being prepared here at once!)

My sincere apology for posting this: I completely missed that this was a smallest coolest entry when I pulled it from Flickr.
Of course I follow the contest, in fact, at times, spend way too much time poring over it. But I regrettably missed this one. I'll check more closely in the future to avoid this kind of duplication. No unfair advantage was intended here, just a slipup for which I'm truly sorry.

Hi ATers. I'm sorry that my photo was pulled from my Flickr page. I definitely didn't expect AT to post it. I just added the images to Flickr because I had finally taken them and have some friends and family who've never seen our place.
