We have shelf envy for Sofialaca's wall of built-ins. Built-in shelving is actually a running theme of sorts throughout the apartment.
Check out Sofialaca's Flickr slideshow to see what we're talking about. We mean lots and lots of shelving.
Lucky.

Forget the shelves, I am envious of the adorable, chubby-cheeked baby. Cute!
Where is your white couch from? Great space! Love the glass table in the living room as well.
I love your Mozart love's Prague poster. I've got that whole series all over my house, and I blew up the Kafka one! That city is incredible!
I was wondering where you got your kitchen organizing track from -- especially the spice shelves. Ikea? I've been searching for something exactly like this.
I would love to know about your office chair... I have a small apartment so the "office" is in the "living room" and my current chair is absolutly horrible.
LOVE the shelves! was that a DYI project or can you recommend the person/company who did them for you?
A: The chair would appear to be the Eames Aluminum Executive Chair, available, for a price, from many sources. You can sometimes pick one up at a better price on ebay or craig's list.
Where is the image above the maroon sofa from? I'm looking for ways to bring the outdoors in....
What a lovely home. Love the dining table! Love the throw (black). Can you tell me where you bought it. Thanks!
yes, like maria i would like have shelving built in my living room. anyone?
Hi!!
I'm sofialaca! I live in Madrid so I'm afraid most resources are out of bounds...
The shelves are all bespoke. We had to gut and renovate the flat completely (we actually changed the position of the aisle; complete change of layout) so basically the idea was in for a penny in for a pound; and the shleving was the most expensive thing, but worth it, by a brilliant carpenter who seems to have won the lottery or something because he no longer takes in any work....
Yes, the spice racks are IKEA and the chair an aluminium which was also hugely expensive but I suppose worth it in the long run.
The photograph above the red sofa is by a friend of ours Bibiana Fierro who recently had an exhibition in Madrid.
And the baby is little sofia who is 1 next week....
The throw is by Neisha Crosland bought in London. It was quite big so I cut it up to make a throw and 3 cushions.
I have a confession to make about the white couche. I loved the B&B Italia Charles sofa but it was way beyond my budget, so I went to an upholsterer in Madrid (Madrid is still full of good old fashioned artisans although they are a dying breed and can't find apprentices) and I got him to come with me to the B&B showroom and told him I want something like THIS, and that's what he came up with! It's not quite the charles (that would be shaeful copying!) but hugely confortable and a third of the price.
