Nice dining. We've seen a lot of really nice dining spaces belonging to AT readers on Flickr lately. Just look at this: it's webrefdesk's dining area in what appears to be a very lofty apartment. He points out his JL Moller chairs, which we love, too. And we loved the rest of what we saw at webrefdesk's flickr slideshow, too: lots of light and space.

Nice space, but the slide show is as if he's been changing furniture and arrangement all the time !

Goodness, I wish I had that many different pieces of furniture to choose from!

Oh, wow. This just solved a mystery for me.
I found one of these chairs on the street in Chelsea a couple years ago. Since it's not my style, I gave it to my best friend. She and I have pondered what to do with it since then, as it's a gorgeous chair but doesn't really work in either of our apartments.
So, now we know it's not just lovely, it's Important and Lovely, what to do? The paper cord seat needs some repair. Any advice on where to have that done, or where to sell?

Sometimes fabulous, but also, disorienting. I wish I had a timeline, or some sense of the thought processes. I also wish I had that much furniture.

Don't call me stalkerish but I actually know where this apt is located. It's directly across from my apartment in Brooklyn Heights. What a coincidence... I work from home and my desk is right in front of the window. So whenever I look up from my computer and stare outside, this apt is part of the view. I've always liked the way he uses his books and collection of bottles as part of the window decor. Anyway, howdy neighbor. :P

Thanks for pointing to my flickr page, Regina. I was thrilled. To answer your questions:
I realize that the slideshow is confusing. Unfortunately, there's no way to include captions and descriptions in the flickr slideshow. A major flickr flaw. If you look at the set view though, those are in chronological order and you can see comments:

You have to click on each thumbnail to see the description.
As for having a lot of furniture to choose from, I have one comment: craigslist. I have bought and sold a lot of furniture on craigslist since 2003. The Moller chairs were purchased for $49 for both. I also got the Saarinen table and my teak couch for good prices. I LOVE craigslist because it allows me change things around periodically.
The room itself is a good size but narrow. It's about 11 x 19. I wish I had a wide angle lens so it would look better. The bedroom still needs a lot of work ...
Christine, I will be keeping my blinds closed from now on ...
