Flower Box Awards: 140 Sullivan Street (3rd floor!)

This week's Apartment Therapy Flower Box Award goes to 140 Sullivan Street's 3rd floor because they lifted our eyes from the concrete of the city into the sky. It is a wonderful community service to plant flowerboxes at street level, but we would like to also commend those who plant up high - not only are they bringing life into their apartment, but they're giving those of us still down on the street something to look up to. When you are in Paris or Venice, you might expect to see flower boxes with extravagant flowers and stems spilling forth; here, you'll find only their most earnest expressions of care and respect for beauty. To see these carefully arranged lovelies in such an unpredictable context both delights and inspires.
