Goldmine. Have you ever been over to Duane Park (Duane Street west of Hudson)?
Our offices are just a few blocks away, and yet I'd never noticed this little pocket of green and open space, wide sidewalks and storefronts, and most notably, gigantic awnings.
The awnings are so deep, residents on these buildings' second floors have what is essentially a huge terrace.
One building, at 184 Duane Street planted their entire awning and the result is awe-inspiring. It's hard to tell what's planted up there, but my zoom lens reveals at the very least petunias, sage, and maybe even... a lemon tree?!
Bravo 184 Duane Street - way to take advantage of what you have. Now if only we all had an insta-patio like that. skgr
