This week, despite all the lovely holiday boughs and wreaths decking the city's windows, doors and stoops, we failed to catch any of them on camera, because, well, we dropped our camera and it's in the shop.
So in honor of the upcoming holiday, we give the this week's Flower Box Award to all the city's residents who are taking it upon themselves to spread a little cheer to their neighbors.
Our landlord has her second floor balcony adorned with several wreaths and a mini-tree. Our new neighbors across the street covered their unsightly black iron security gate with pine boughs. Even the laundromat has a little tree in the window.
