Brooklyn Flea Market
New York Magazine 3.31.08

3-25-brooklyn-flea.jpg

In November, we helped spread the word about a new flea market coming to Brooklyn — Brooklyn Flea. This week's New York Magazine shares in the excitement as Brooklyn Flea prepares its launch on April 6th in a school yard in Fort Greene, Brooklyn...

A partial list of the 200 participating vendors, a map and even pictures of some of the merchandise are included in a slideshow. Above, we've pulled our favorites from the featured items: (clockwise from upper left) Reprodepot fabrics, a reupholstered chair from Chairloom, original artwork from Philadelphia artist John Murphy and Reiter8 Tote made from old boat sails. We're excited to see Brooklyn Flea in action.

For location and times, see the Brooklyn Flea homepage.

I didn't know about this! Very exciting! Since the Chelsea Flea market moved to Hell's Kitchen it hasn't been the same. Looking forward to having a new spot near the city to spend my Sundays this spring!

I hope this is good. It's a crying shame New York doesn't have a good flea market. See you there!
