Needs a floorplan
That's some vivid decor.
good luck..
The decor has so much personality that I'm having trouble visualizing the bones of the place. Floor plan, please!
hello,
we just got word that our apt was posted here. we are sending a floorplan to maxwell this evening and he will post first thing in the morning. please do check back.
thanks,
susan
Oh, if you could only wait a year. My wife and I just bought a place as a stepping stone for your place.
Good luck to you. And if you do decide to wait a year or twoI'll be in touch.
Why do you need candlelight outdoors during the daytime? Puzzling.
lots of personality indeed. i really like a lot of it (the mirror, the kitchen cabinets, the tulips) and admire the rest. i realize it's not the point of the post, but it was very interesting to see.
Your place looks like it is very charming, but you should edit a lot and reshoot pictures. Buyers want to be able to envision themselves living there with their belongings. It's difficult to do with so much of your personality, such as the stuffed animals and religious paintings.
Your garden is gorgeous. You should have entered it in the Greenest Thumb contest!
Slideshow taken down. You can email Susan for the working link. More pics added and a floorplan coming soon......
Very nice! Love the garden. I don't think you will have trouble selling this.
PS - I agree the floor plan helps, because I got the impression from the pics that this was very small--and I was totally wrong.
Thanks to everyone who emailed us directly for the complete photo album of our place. I wanted to answer here a couple of questions that were asked via email.
We do not plan to have an open house, but rather to book appointments for viewing individually. If you would like to schedule a viewing, please send us an email.
Also, with regards to transportation options near our home: Our nearest train is the G. We usually take the bus to Dekalb (Q, M, R, B), Jay Street (A, C, F) or Hoyt Schermerhorn (1, 2) (the bus stop is on the corner of Clinton Ave. and Myrtle Ave. at the top of our block), but we also sometimes walk to Jay, Hoyt, Dekalb, and it's not too far a walk (approx. 5 long blocks).

susan - aren't you also very close to the Atlantic Center mall and all of it's subway lines? I would think you would be closer to there than to Jay or Hoyt/Schermerhorn. That's a big selling point if you haven't considered it...
hi matilda,
thanks for reminding me of Atlantic Center mall. AtlanticCenter/JayHoyt are pretty equidistant to our place just in different directions w/AC to the sounth and Jay/Hoyt to the west.
also, the Atlantic Center is equally easy by bus with the 69 bus stop on the corner.

I think the place looks insanely beautiful and spacious and gracious for the price, and it sounds like it's right by Pratt, which is a really nice area these days, no kiddin'.
What are the public elementary schools in the area - are they good? How long does it take to get to midtown NYC? Apt looks fantastic!
thanks for your comments and for mentioning Pratt, Curtis. we spend A LOT of time playing in Pratt's beautiful sculpture garden. my children even prefer it to Ft. Greene park, which is another amazing green space in our area. Ft. Greene park is dog friendly, with dogs allowed to be off-lead from 9pm to 9am.
hi Beth, thanks very much. the public elementary schools in the area are benefitting from the many young families moving to the area, with parents becoming increasingly involved in the PTAs. PS11 and PS20 are two of the most sought-after elementary schools in our area. PS20 is the closest to our place, though we are a half-block out of the zone. Since the school is currently not close to capacity, however, it is easy to get a variance.
the time one should allow for commuting to midtown to be safe is: 45 mins to midtown east, 35 mins to midtown west.
I also have to say that I think that the price is not unreasonable and that for many people having a place that provides the possibility for expansion is a very appealing idea. And that garden area is gorgissimo.
I'm in love with the garden. It is so hard to find that at this price point in NYC. One can see the owners loves living here. all the spaces are so interesting & after seeing the additional photos it looks even bigger with a better sence of the layout. Great property for the lucky person who gets it
please see our webpage link below if you are interested in an update about the apartment. we have open houses scheduled for sept. 6&9.
many thanks for all the interest from AT readers. we hope to see you at the open house!
