Greenjeans Fall Furniture Festival: Back for Week 3

4korners.jpg

On Sunday, we were back at the Brooklyn Flea to check out more local furniture designers chosen by Greenjeans for their Fall Furniture Festival. It was a little cool and windy, so if you didn't make it, here's a look at the some amazing local talent. Here's our round-up...

Susan Wood's Aswoon furniture was extremely popular with kids at the Flea. We sat in the Ribbon Float lounge chair, which was actually pretty comfortable.

At Benton Custom, the wood is certainly the star of Roger Benton's work. This little piece was the only example of Benton's work at the Flea, but was representative of his desire to produce fine furniture that is not only beautiful, but also functional and environmentally responsible.

Apartment Therapy favorite Wonk, which began in Brooklyn in 2004, showcased a few examples of their simple modern pieces.

Scott Raffaele of 4Korners is committed to producing environmentally responsible furniture that are as functional as they are aesthetically pleasing. We loved the stool that can be used as a side table or stacked to provide shelving.

Nightwood is a Brooklyn Flea hit. Together, Myriah Scruggs and Nadia Yaron have perfected a hand-crafted modern rustic aesthetic. Their work has become extremely popular in the short time that they have been creating furniture. They are Brooklyn Flea regulars, where their work frequently sells out.

And also back for a second week were Uhuru and Counter Evolution.

Next week is the final Sunday of the Greenjeans Fall Furniture Festival, and they're going out with a bang. There will be nine local furniture designers packed into the Greenjeans booth. So come on out, open drawers, sit in chairs, talk to designers. You'll have a great time.

The one picture you did not get is the wooden slat hassock. All I kept doing was running my hands over the surface which is exquisitely smooth smooth smooth! Plus the way all the pieces fit together. Ah if I only had $2,400.00 and then there's the space issue?? All of the furniture is wonderful - so nice to see people taking pride in their work. Great flea market......
