Over at Ohdeedoh, a discussion is brewing on The New York Times' story about incorporating good design into homes with small children (or really, incorporating children into homes where design was a focus). For the rest of the House & Home Roundup, including advice on lightweight draperies and the spring beacon of Witch Hazels, check below the jump...

Incorporating children into small home design can be a good thing as kids can be stored in an upright position when not in use. I love how the first couple have incorporated children by using one as a coffee table and the other as a simple accent pillow.
If I were them I would've gone with a different slipcover on the pillow though. The blue and white seems to clash with the opposite sofa.

I would just like for all of the whiners on AT (that always complain that certain room designs would not work for them because they have children) to please take note of the top picture. Notice how that room is very modern and clean and they even have a white shag rug and white chair with two little children and everyone seems to be very relaxed. Great picture. I notice that there were very few comments on this post...not surprising.
P.S. the above comment by silvarga is hilarious!
