Romantic Bedroom Week: Renee's Red Snow Studio

2-13-redsnow.jpg
Welcome to our Romantic Bedroom Giveaway - all info here

Name: Renee c.f.
Location: Lynn, MA

Picture Description: The Red Snow Studio: While not a bedroom, the feel of this photo is what the perfect bedroom means to me. The passion and color pop of a deep red, the seclusion and quietness of the woods and the comfort and crispness of the newly fallen snow....

The snow blanket also invokes the feeling I want from the feel of my bed. The bedroom can be aesthetically amazing, but if your bed isn't comfortable, then what's the point? It's also a photo of a very personal and emotionally meaningful place to me (where I proposed) and that sentimentality and personal touch is something that's important in my bedroom. It might be cheesy, but I want my bedroom to be an inspiring escape and cocoon all in one, and for me, this does it.

Romantic Bedroom Tip:

I try to only keep things that I love in the bedroom - that includes art, books and company! And never underestimate the comfort of a newly washed down blanket and natural light - not to mention a good mattress!

Thanks, Renee!

That photo is a painful reminder of how desperately I want some snow this year, but as the temps here have been in the 60s and 70s this month, it ain't lookin' very likely. :(

Micheal-- Come to Chicago, you can have ALL the snow you want! I heard on the radio that until this weekend, we only had 11 minutes of sun the month of February.

Renee, that is one amazing looking cabin. Where is it? Is it for rent? If it is, any information would be wonderful....

Meenasyaz - It is a pretty amazing place! It's in upstate New York, near the Berkshires and just over the Massachusetts border. It's actually a pottery and photography studio mainly used by the owners, but is right behind a small house that is often for rent. I'm friends with the owners, so I get the joy of visiting often! If you're still interested in renting - let me know and I'll send you her information.

And thanks everyone for the nice comments!

How does an external picture of a bungalow win a romantic bedroom contest? Man, what a plonker.....I bet you this was scanned off the cover of somebody's Xmas card....

You know, a bedroom contest should contain entries of..............bedrooms!

I can't believe somebody fell for this.

c16621, clearly you can't READ.

This photo makes me miss home (in MA!) AND it makes me want to curl up in bed!!!! If only it snowed in SoCal. :(

For what it's worth - I took the photo earlier this year - the barn/studio is in upstate NY. And I thought the rules said a photo of an actual bedroom or something that inspires you. Anyway.... I'm really touched to have won - thank you! My partner and I are psyched to decorate with the same red that was an inspiration in this photo!
