I just moved into my first place and while I love the beautiful dark hardwood floors, I am not digging the price of rugs (required by my landlord). This Flokati rug would be perfect for my living room space, which is currently empty as all my living room furniture is residing in my bedroom due to the rug-less state.

The contest begins today and ends on Monday, March 10th, at NOON ET.

Do you mean June?

I would either use this in my living room (on top of the kinda depressing brownish-beige standard apartment carpet) or in the bedroom, so when I get out of bed it would be soft and welcoming on my feet.

i love the word 'flotaki' too. :)

In my living room half of my living bedroom. I have the most vile ugly tile floors and also am bummed with the price of rugs. I would do crunches and other floor work on it and let my dog snooze and roll around on it. Also I just had surgery on my dominant hand, and have an IV in my other arm, so the rug would make an excellent get well present :)

when i move into my new place i'm painting the walls a nice cool gray. my furniture is mostly white and espresso or black, and i plan to have some sweet white bed linens and sheer linen curtains. this would be the icing on my AT-inspired bedroom cake! a bedroom rug that ties it together and reminds me where the inspiration came from (AT made me a believer in the power of white interiors).

not to mention that i could cozy down on it with some hot tea, pillows, heavy blankets, and a good book to keep warm in our arctic boston winters ;)

I'd put in in my bedroom, so when I wake up and put my feet on the floor, I won't be chilled by the cold (but beatuiful) hardwood floor. Instead, I'd have step into and feel the heaven-like softness of this rug!
Ah.... I can already image how great the rest of my day would be!
And then, after a hard, long day, the last thing my feet step onto is, again, the heaven-like softness of this rug.
Sweet dreams...

Wish AT would pick me so I can stop dreaming. I'm at work with full allergy working on me with a busy schedule ahead.
If I had this rug, I'd bring it with me to work, just so I have wrap it around me while I sit in my little cubicle in front of my computer, and maybe, start dreaming again.

There's a large space between my bed and bedroom closet where I sleepily try to dress myself each morning and avoid walking out of the apartment wearing two different shoes. I would love to place the rug there, so that I would actually look forward to waking up, sinking my toes into it and perhaps ease into the morning routine in a happier way.
