Jonathan Adler's Muse Candle

12-4-muse-candle-1.jpg We've always admired Jonathan Adler's Muse collection. With a weakness for unglazed porcelain, the collection is made up of classics we can't ignore (and can't afford). We were pleased that he recently introduced the Muse Candle with a much lower price point. The 13 oz. candle has a crisp, pleasant aroma. While Mr. Adler describes it as "fresh cut flowers," "fresh" is a better descriptor than "floral"...

The porcelain vessel makes a great larger bud vase when the candle has burned away. The vase stands 3.5" tall, and is just as wide. The large size of this candle (two wicks) makes the $65 price tag easier to swallow. An attractive box makes this an easy gift.

I love the smell of it, even without being lit it still gives off the scent.

I walked into the Jonathan Adler Soho store last Saturday and the wonderful smell of this candle filled my senses. I had to pick it up for home. I burn it daily and it is really delightful. The cool thing is after the candle is burned out, you are left with a great porcelain piece to re-use. Makes a great gift too.

I want a squillion of those candles!!

So I know that some of Jonathan Adler's porcelain pieces are a little pricey, but I'm confused as to how "we" can't afford, say, a $400 vase, but can afford some of the dwr products featured in many posts.

I guess I would love to know who "we" exactly is. When I constantly read it in almost every post, I always think it's some NY/San Francisco/Chicago couple.
