Off Pitcher & Cup

By the bed. The every-ready glass of water by the bedside is essential for civilizing the brutish bedtime impulses and quenching dry-mouth on Sunday morning. This one is a beautiful, fancy alternative.

The Esque Off Pitcher & Cup ($150) comes from Velocity Art & Design (and we saw it second...at Design*Sponge). :-) MGR

I keep a water bottle by my bed sometimes. I think my boyfriend would kill me if he heard the sound of water pouring into a glass during the night ;)

Spare and whimsical at the same time... I love it.

I just can't imagine I would ever reach the point in my life that I would actually spend $150 for something on my nightstand. Then again, I'm still using the digital alarm clock my parents gave me for Christmas in 1980.

Is anyone else worried about knocking something like this over as you fumble for it in the middle of the night? I love the way it looks, but I would worry about breaking it.

I prefer the one from England you showed several months ago. But at 83 pounds, was still kind of pricey.

I'm really not one for knockoffs, but Williams-Sonoma had a dead ringer for the English version on clearance for $9.99 after the holidays. They're selling it for $24.99 right now on williams-sonoma.com. (Imagine it without the monogram.)
