I don't want this to come off as rude/mean, but if you really love it and its perfect maybe it's worth the wait? November is not that far away, even though we like to think summer will last a little longer. You might end up getting something that is not quite as perfect, and wishing you had just waited. It's likely an item that you will have for a long time, those few months from now 'till Nov. will feel like nothing in the long run.

They will let you order it now and won't charge until they have it in stock and shipped to you.

It might be worth ordering it now, as I had a small table on backorder with them this spring--and actually got it a month earlier than they predicted.

And if nothing else, as patrick says you can keep looking in the meantime and easily cancel the order if you find something better!

I had been told a piece was on backorder from West Elm but didn't want to pre-order; after waiting the couple of months I called again and it was still backordered. This was a while ago when they were not as big, but I would not assume that November is really November, if you know what I mean.

Strongly advise against buying this rug. Mine was shedding like mad for a couple of weeks, I was vacuuming daily. After three months, it still sheds. Stay away from cut pile rugs from West Elm.

I've had my eye on that West Elm rug as well.
But I have to say, if you're willing to pay more (basically twice as much) for an Angela Adams rug then you NEED to see the "nasturtium dusk" rug over at velocity. The blues are a little more subdued but makes up for it in charm. Oh my god that rug is beautiful!!!

Try searching Rugs-Direct.com. They have an amazing array of rugs and sometimes have great sales.
