Looks like a changing table.

It looks good, for what you did to it! I'm not a fan of mission style, but you have made it work. It would make a nice entry bench, with a place for shoes underneath. Thanks for sharing the results!

jeffnyc - I agree. It might have been better if it didn't look like it was just a cushion on top - might have been better to let more fabric drape down.

I think it looks nice... I think the changing table feel is because of the hard edges on the foam. I would have used thinner foam & cut the edges all around to a 45 degree angle and then pulled the fabric tight so it curved all the way over the edge.

Um..not sure about this....I think I prefer how it looked before.

Not a fan - should have left it as it was.

Stark white mission style = Visually at odds. I think it's tough to make something like this work without seeming cutesy, and going for a clean, modern look with those bones is a very big challenge. A black or red upholstery might have helped. The choice of buttons is also a little strange to me- a little too much going on stylistically I think.
Personally speaking, I would keep tinkering with it- there's potential there, but this doesn't look quite "done".

Thanks for posting this. I'm getting ready to do a similar project and appreciate the suggestions. It's harder than it looks in getting it to appear 'finished' instead of just a cushion glued to a table. LOL!
