Hello AT,
I have a good question for the color and paint experts out there. I want to paint wood furniture for my boys' room in the color palate of a peacock. (For example, 2 green chairs, a blue chair, etc) I can match the black and turquoise (obviously) but am having trouble with the greens. Can someone recommend 2 Benjamin Moore greens that will match this bird?
THANKS, MG

I'm not a color expert, but I think its a bad idea to paint a boy's bedroom the colors of a peacock. I suggest a more masculine inspiration.
I agree with Rob. How about a cock?
Take a look at Benjamin Moore #414 (forgot the name, but the number stuck in my head).
It looks lighter on the sample, but it drys this gorgeous shade of green similar to the bright green on the peacock.
a peacock is male...therefore masculine (FYI: the term for the species is 'peafowl'. The male is called a peacock, the female a peahen). i like the color choices and inspiration. unfortunately i have no suggestion on the shades of green. but i definitely want to see the room once it's finished!
I like the peacock colors...not sure what's not masculine about blue and green. Maybe you could see if a custom color could be mixed to match the green?
...try bm 'new lime' #2025-30 or 'snow cone' 2026-30

Comments from MG's boys to therapist in 2017 "And my parents insisted on painting my room in the colors of a Peacock and posted it on the internet for color suggestions."
Comments from Rob's therapist to his case file: "Has pronounced gender issues."
I'd much rather have a son with "gender issues" than a son with rigid, anal-retentive testosterone poisoning. This is a DESIGN website, for pete's sake, not a monster truck rally.
I think it's a great idea for a room! "Margarita" and "Douglas Fir" are two shades of green that match nicely. I love the "Seaort Blue" as well. Hope that helps!

Blue and green are the #1 and #2 favorite colors of both men and women.
the phrase "BM green" is a little distateful
Yes anonymous, my first reation to the headline was
"oh no! call the avian vet."
funny, they match the blue and green on this website almost!
