Jennifer would like some help finding a sofa in her price range: "Hello AT, I have a question for all you savvy shoppers out there. I am looking for a couch and found the one I love!! Unfortunately, it is way out of my price range. Does anyone know of a sofa similar to the Bergman Sofa at Room & Board for less?"
Email questions and pics with QUESTIONS in subject line to:

Nee more info!
1. How much less is "less"?
2. If you love the shape but not the price, are you willing to go wtih upholstery?
3. Consider a love-seat size and a companion chair istead of a full-size sofa (and full size price)?

Have you checked on eBay or Overstock? We just bought a leather chair from eBay that has been awesome so far. Here's a few I found:

It might be worth checking it out. But not sure what your price range is.

www.urbanhomestyle.com has a lot of popular leather and fabric sofas at less expensive prices.

My advice to the OP is to get the Bergman leather chair ($1499 to the sofa's $2599) and choose a less expensive fabric-covered sofa.

My advice is to check Macy's furniture clearance centers. Cant tell if you are in NYC. But the clearance section at the downtown Brooklyn store is wonderful. You can always find lovely leather pieces at unbeatable prices. They often have leather loveseats and couches. Also have lots of great upholstery pieces at discount prices.
I found 2 lovely leather club chairs for $750 total including tax. Look like this http://www.bizrate.com/living-room-furniture/oid824001548.html except they arent recliners.
Dont go around the annual home sale because that means the pickings will be slimmer as more people will be going to the store during this time.
Also check Overstock and Craigslist.
