Hello AT,
We are hunting for fun, cool and modern medicine cabinets (colorful would be a plus and if one of them would have lighting that would be great), and have not been thrilled with what we have come up with -- the list of the best options so far is below. If there are other suggestions, or good stores to check out that would be great. For example, we really like the pieces from Malibu but so far we have not found a U.S. store that sells them.
Any thoughts? Lolly

Target has a line (American Classic or something like that) that looks like that Hold Everything selection, but for $30 or $40 instead of $145.
Anyone not averse to Brooklyn can enjoy the really basic looking and very low priced construction overstocks at Weismans
718 377-8871, 1185 MacDonald Ave (at Ave I and J)
I got a frame-free plain beveled mirror medicine chest there for about $30.
Cappellini makes a funky one. I have the red and love it. It's beautifully made and often inspires conversation. One note, DWR had it on sale a while ago - less than half price at $242 http://www.unicahome.com/catalog/item.asp?id=18137
Umbra has one called 'Cabino' which allows you to add photos or artwork to the glass on the door.

Only available in white, but it's only $88!
check out robern.com for some decent minimal (and very large) medicine cabinets
I checked out Home Portfolio and WHEW! $950 (w/o shipping) for a medicine cabinet....a little out of my price range. I was willing to spend $300 but not $1000. I loved one I saw at Hold Everything for $150 but it sticks out of the wall 7"...ouch!! I can't have a recessed one so I am still on the hunt for a plain, dark chocolate cabinet that won't break the bank or my head! If anyone comes across one please post!!!
I am also looking for a plain, dark chocolate one for under 300 that is not wider then 16 1/2"! There are some basic ones at Pottery Barn and West Elm for under 200 that are a little wider!
If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
I saw one shaped like a smiling sun with shining rays. That's a great one for children's hospital.
